Looks good. Seems like it is just tad out of focus. Were you using automatic focus?

Ken, that's been my issue on my night videos. I have EXCELLENT resolution on my phone screen...but it IS a phone screen. Add to that 70 year old eyes...and a prescription that's 2-1/2 years old...and having been diagnosed with cataracts...plus blind in one eye...and can't see outta the other. But, otherwise...LOL!

OK, so neither one of my eyes is blind. I'be been experimenting with manual focus. I just saw a YouTube video on the topic that suggested doing an auto-focus, then once in focus switch to manual focus.

Wow, your situation is eerily similar to mine. Bifocal/progressive lenses, early indicator of cataracts, poor night vision.

Maybe you already know this but autofocus typically does poorly in low light conditions. Manual focus is probably best at night. A suggestion, that I have not tried, is to find a slightly brighter area to focus (maybe a light but be careful due to halo effects) or even focus it before the sun goes down and then make it sure it doesn’t change between flights.

I'm going to give that a try.

You don't think FAA will ground us, do you? I know that "Mother DJI" would. Next thing they'll put in the next firmware update will be a vision test. If you don't pass, aircraft will will only idle...won't lift off. ;)

Yes, they will eventually ground us, just like eventually they will take away my drivers license. I am an optimist, in that I don’t think it will happen until I am ready for it to happen. Worst case, we’re only a hack away from flying again.

I agree, focus is a little soft. Other than that, it looks pretty good. I understand the cataract issues. I had mine hacked off a couple years ago. In the immortal words of Bette Davis, Gettin' old ain't fer sissies!

Amen to THAT! I've been blessed, though, and favored with relatively good health and mobility. at 70. I took on a retirement gig working in the kitchen at a local veterans nursing home 3 mornings a week. Got some old and younger residents there that life and circumstances has been pretty harsh on!
