Advice for New Pilots

    This is something I posted elsewhere but thought it might be useful.

    Make sure you have the latest version of DJI GO 4 installed and then update the firmware. Make sure you turn the bird on and connect with each of the batteries because there may be updates for them as well. I would also download the latest manual for the Mavic 2 and read it cover to cover. A ton of questions posted on this forum can be answered by the manual.

    When you get ready to fly for the first time make sure there are no warnings in the app or on the controller. Verify that the radar indicator points the same way as the drone and take off and hover for a minute or two to make sure everything is copacetic then just enjoy.

    Well said Ken, they would also want to register and visibly mark the drone with its registration number also.
